It does not skip a beat on fast movement and you could game with it if you wanted to. However with that said, the mouse tracks extremely well. Just don't expect to seriously game with the mouse.

my concerns were put to rest after using the mouse. why? because 1000 is better than 125 :) Do they really notice? Probably not so much after 500hz but 125hz is plenty for every day work and again. One last thing is the poling rate which is 125hz. You could probably game just fine with it too but for more serious gaming a lighter, more specialized Logitech G mouse would be best. This was a major concern of mine and the MX Master 3 is an excellent wireless mouse for work, coding, content creation and general mouse use. The MX Master 3's wireless feels responsive with low latency for desktop work. So I was concerned about buying one of their mice that wasn't branded with 'lightspeed' whatever that really means tech wise may not be so different than what is in the MX Master 3 but I suppose there is some difference but the point is there is no noticable difference between the MX Master 3 wireless and fancier Lightspeed wireless mice, at least for general desktop purposes. It used to be that wireless mice meant noticeable latency that was unacceptable. Logitech in recent years has really perfected the wireless mouse with their lightspeed wireless tech. So I've seen wireless mice come and go that were often disappointing. I dont see this talked about much with this mouse and I suspect that's because most people that buy this kind of mouse are not concerned too much with such things but I've lived through many generations of Logitech mice, as far back as the old 3 button SGI mouse. The other big factor was wireless latency. The gestures themselves are great, especially switching between desktops. It seems like I have to shift my thumb slightly to hit it right every time but it's not a big deal as the function is very useful. The side gesture button is excellent although it can be a little hard to activate with my thumb. Perhaps they could use a rubberized coating on the moue button tops as well? I wish their excellent designers could address the matte finish wearing on the buttons due to finger abrasion. This is a problem I wish logitech would address (if even possible). The buttons still appear to be plastic with a matte coating which will likely polish to a shine like all of my other logitech mice. The angled body designed to relax the wrist is very comfortable for long periods of use. It's really nice and although I'm more of a claw gripper that likes small light mice when playing Starcaft 2, it feels comfortable and relaxing in hand. Now that I've tested it, I can say it feels noticeably heavier than what I like but it's not uncomfortable for desktop/content creation work. So the weight of the MX Master 3 was a concern. The G903 is a bit too heavy for an RTS like starcraft but it is fine for FPS and general mouse use. It's the perfect mouse for that game IMO. Weight is so important to me that I use the G305 lightspeed specifically and only for Starcraft 2. I play Starcraft 2 and I want the lightest mouse possible in my hand with the least resistance so I can put the mouse pointer on a pixel when I need to without having to fight the weight of the mouse. I like a light mouse and the MX Master 3 is a heavier mouse compared to to the gaming mice I use such as the G903 Lightspeed and G305 lightspeed wireless. The side scroll wheel is also very useful and well positioned on the mouse body.

This is one major feature I think everyday, get work done, content creator style mice need. Now that I've gotten to test it, it's fantastic. I became curious about the new Logitech MX Master 3 when I had realized that it has a smart shift scroll wheel with an even newer technical solution than the older MX revolution. Another issue is the scroll wheel which is fantastic for what it is but I've always missed the incredible smart shift scroll wheel of the old Logitech MX Revolution, which logitech had removed from newer mice that replaced it in their line up such as the Performance MX mouse.

It's a great mouse but one major annoyance is having to recharge it every other day. I've been using a Logitech G903 lightspeed mouse for work and gaming. I ordered it directly from Logitech since these are pretty hard to find in stores or Amazon at this moment.Р”Р„nyways I figured I would share my thoughts on the mouse since I didn't find much information or discussion about issues I was worried about when buying the mouse.
